When I first moved to Boston to go to music school it seemed like it rained every day. I rode into school each day along the Charles river bike path - i got very good at guitar protection. One day I was sitting in the kitchen looking out the window at the rain and this song came strolling along.
lyrics
There’s rain on the windows
Of the cars passing by
I just keep walking
Down this road.
Grey all around me
Is it only the sky
I may be young
But I feel so old
Chorus:
I don’t know what to do
With these blues
‘Cause the sky has been soaking
Through my shoes
My shoes
Money was a friend of mine
But she’s long gone out that back door
I don’t think I even remember her face.
Just quit my job today
I’ve go nothing left to say
Just keep that bass line walking my way
Chorus
There’s rain on the windows
Of the cars passing by
I just keep walking down that road.
